Fishing opportunities exist other than sailfish with the waters off the Pacific coast of Guatemala home to a large variety of fish species, including marlin, dorado, tuna, grouper, and snapper.

Winter/High season is November to May and Summer/Green season is June to October. November to May is the rainy season and we can’t predict exactly when it will rain and when it will be dry during those months. However, with regards to fishing, if it does rain it is most likely to happen in the evening after fishing.
Our chosen lodge is situated in a secure, tree-lined, residential development with the lodge siting on the edge of the canal and overlooking the mangroves. This spacious property boasts lush gardens, an inviting pool, and boardwalks which lead to private bungalows
The bungalows are tastefully decorated with Guatemalan textiles and come equipped with comfortable beds and handcrafted wooden furniture.
All bungalows have air-conditioning and a private bathroom with plenty of hot water.
In the evenings, fellow anglers gather at the bar by the pool, in the open-air rancho, or in dining room to enjoy refreshing drinks, dine on delicious food, and share fishing tales.
ARRIVAL DAY: Arrive at the Aurora Airport in Guatemala City, where you will be met by the Lodge’s driver who will have a sign with your name on it. He will escort you to your private chauffeur driven vehicle which will then take you to the coast. En-route you may enjoy stopping off in Antigua, a beautiful UNESCO world heritage site, to have a gourmet lunch. After lunch enjoy the most breath-taking volcanic scenery on your way to stay at Sailfish Oasis Lodge on the Pacific coast. Relax by the pool with snacks followed by dinner in the evening.
FISHING DAYS: Following a delicious breakfast at 6am you will be taken to Marina Pez Vela. You will leave the dock at 7am for a full days fishing with lunch, snacks, beer and non-alcoholic beverages included.
